This year Abu Dhabi Art 2013 is being held from November 20 to 23, 2013 at Saadiyat Cultural District in Saadiyat Island. This will be the fifth edition where exciting program of art, talks and performances are all set to bring together top artists, art galleries, art collectors and visitors from different parts of the world.
Abu Dhabi Art is much more than an art fair. It has emerged as a unique platform for contemporary and modern art and design, in addition to a carefully curated public program. This international platform in the Middle East has come into being for educating, creating awareness and inculcating artistic and cultural interest among the people through the selected exhibited galleries, showcasing an extensive range of artistic creations, hosting a series of talks by renowned art-world academics, patrons, connoisseurs as well as emerging and leading artists from all fields of the visual arts.
The fourth edition of Abu Dhabi Art, which was held in 2012, was an astounding success. Nearly 600 artistic creations were displayed by over 400 artists. Art galleries participating in the show numbered 50, while 50 book launches were also made during the event.
The highly-successful Abu Dhabi Art show held last year has firmly established Saadiyat Island as a cultural district and also placed Abu Dhabi in an unassailable position as the cultural destination of the future.
