Science Museum Oklahoma:
You can start your road trip at this museum in Oklahoma City. Children will have a great time going down the 24-foot slide in the museum’s GadgetTrees area. The Kidspace has activities for children of all ages. There are blocks and puppets for toddlers. Older children can learn about water at the bubble station. Everyone in your family might enjoy learning about the night sky at the Planetarium. You can then head south to Chickasaw Country for your next adventure.
Trout Fishing at Turner Falls:

You can head southwest to the town of Fredericksburg for your next adventure.
Fredericksburg:
Everyone in the family is likely to find something interesting in this town. Shops here sell a variety of merchandise. You can buy gifts for your friends at home. Readers will enjoy visiting the bookstores, and children will have fun in the toy stores. If you are looking for items for your home, you can buy antiques and kitchen items here. There is a playground for children. You can enjoy pizza, German food, baked goods or ice cream in one of the town’s restaurants. If you want to cool off during a hot summer, head southeast to a water park in the town of New Braunfels.
Schlitterbahn:
This water park has tube chutes, water slides and a beach. You can work out in the activity pool or relax in the heated pool. Small children can splash around in a shallow pool or enjoy small water slides in the park’s Kindherhaven. Head east to enjoy one of the Gulf Coast beaches near Galveston.
Stewart Beach:
This beach has plenty of places for sunbathing. You can rent beach umbrellas and chairs. There is a snack bar for hungry beachgoers. Travel east to enjoy the Mississippi River in New Orleans.
River Cruise In New Orleans:
You can learn about the history of New Orleans while you take a steamboat cruise along the Mississippi River. A buffet brunch is served. Then it is time to head for home.
