Europe is one of the world’s 7 continents. It is the second-largest continent, covering only 2 percent of the earth’s surface area. There are about 50 countries in Europe. Each of these countries has exceptionally splendid cities. While some of these cities are ultra-pricy, others are more affordable. The affordable cities are the basis of our discussion in this article.

Lisbon, Portugal

Lisbon Portgal

Lisbon is the capital and the largest city in Portugal. Besides being an affordable European city, Lisbon has lots of goodies for everyone. The city has stunning ancient sites and modern wonders. The city is also close to the Atlantic Ocean. It only takes a few minutes to reach the ocean’s beaches. You do not need to take a plane; instead, there are trains that leave Cais do Sodré station every 15 minutes. In addition to going to the beach, you can choose to taste manifold pastries prepared by the Portuguese. It will take you weeks to taste all of them. Alternatively, you can go out. Lisbon has a wild party scene.

Berlin, Germany

Berlin Germany

Berlin is the capital city and one of the sixteen states of Germany. To say the least, Berlin has affordable tourist packages. Although Berlin is well known for its modern city life, it has a lot in store for nature fanatics. If you love nature, you can take a stroll into the Grunewald forest. Otherwise, you can rest or walk in the Charlottenburg gardens. For the art enthusiasts, Berlin has exceptional architectural masterpieces, especially those that were created during World War II. There are also the sections of Berlin wall that can still be explored. Berlin has great zoos, and it also has the largest department store in the entire Europe. Better yet, the state has exceptional cuisines waiting for you to taste.

Birmingham, United Kingdom

Birmingham, United Kingdom

Birmingham is not only affordable but it is also exceedingly charming. The city is located 117 miles northwest of London. It takes only 2 hours to drive from London to Birmingham. If you choose to take a bus, it will take you three hours. The main attraction here is The Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery. Others include Thinktank Planetarium, Winterbourne House and Garden, Grand Prix Karting, and The Pen Room.

Trogir, Croatia

Trogir, Croatia

Trogir is a historic town in the Dalmatia County of Croatia. Surprisingly, the town has a small population of about 11,000 people. If you do not like crowded towns, then Trogir is the place to visit. This great and affordable place has several things that you and your entire family can see and do. It has magnificent architectural works like the Cathedral of St Lawrence, which is believed to have been finished in 1500. It is considered to be one of the greatest architectural achievements of Croatia. There is also the The Kamerlengo Tower, finished in the 14th century and now used for music concerts. Trogir also has an exceptional market place where visitors can taste Croatia’s fresh produce. There is also the Riva. You can take a stroll along the waters, or have coffee or lunch in one of the many bars located along the Riva. Other things that are a must-see include St John the Baptist church, the Cipiko palace, and Town Loggia and many others. Another great thing besides the amazing places worth visiting are cheap apartments in Trogir, you can find the best prices online, especially if you book in advance or last minute.

Milan, Italy

Milan, Italy
Milan is Europe’s fashion capital. It is also the home of Leonardo da Vinci. The city is often missed by many tourists because they believe that Florence and Venice are the only places worth visiting. However, it is important to add that Milan is affordable, elegant, and fascinating. Before leaving Milan, make sure you see Leonardo da Vinci’s “Last Supper” masterpiece.
